The Halal Screener

The Halal Screener is a core feature of the Sahal Wallet that helps users identify whether a token is Shariah-compliant.

It applies MRHB Network’s Shariah governance framework, giving faith-conscious and ethical investors the tools they need to filter out non-compliant assets and build a halal portfolio.

  1. Open Sahal Wallet and go to the Halal Screener app.
  2. Search for the token you want to check.
  3. Use the Shariah status filter to see if the token is halal or non-halal.
  4. You can also filter by mainnet to check if the token is compliant on specific chains.

If a token is not yet screened:

  1. Tap on the token.
  2. Click Request Screening.
  3. Complete the request by making a $5 payment.

Your request will be added to the queue, and you can track progress under Request History.

How is it decided if a token is halal or haram?

Section titled “How is it decided if a token is halal or haram?”

Each token is reviewed and validated by the Shariah Governance Board (SGB). The review looks at:

  • No interest (riba), gambling, or haram industries.
  • The purpose and use of the token must be ethical.
  • Earnings must come from halal activities.
  • The project must clearly disclose its practices.

Only after meeting these conditions will a token be listed as halal inside the Sahal Wallet.
